  • Preheat oven to 475 degrees and place pizza stone in oven 45 munutes before baking pizza.
  • Coat medium non-stick skillet with 1 Tbsp of olive oil, brown onions over medium high heat for 5 minutes. Reduce heat, cook an additional 10 minutes until nicely caramelized. Remove from pan, set aside.
  •  Dust a work area with the flour, and roll out dough, stretch to form pizza, transfer to a pizza peel or large cookie sheet.
  • Spread tomato sauce over dough, sprinkle with mozzarella, caramelized onions and arrange sausage slices on top of onions.
  • Slide pizza onto the preheated stone, using a spatula to guide it. Bake for 15 minutes or until pizza is crispy and golden.
  • Remove from stone and sprinkle with arugula and parmesan and remaining olive oil.
  • Optional: Top with freshly cracked black pepper.

1 12 oz package al fresco Roasted Pepper & Asiago Chicken Sausage sliced on bias 1/4" thick (2 links)

1 Cup Cheese, mozzarella, low sod, shred

2 oz Cheese, parmesan thinly sliced into shavings

16 oz Crust, pizza, fzn dough, ballthawed, rest at room temperature for 15 mintues

2 Tablespoon Flour, all purpose, white, unbleached, enrich

4 oz Greens, arugula, leaf, freshwash, pat dry

2 Tablespoon Oil, olive, extra virgin

1 1/2 Cup Onion, yellow, fresh, sliced

1 Cup Sauce, pasta, tomato basil, low sodium
