"Grilled Hawaiian Chicken Sausage and Veggies-the perfect Summer meal! Loaded with juicy charred pineapple, bell peppers, red onions with a kick and of course, perfectly grilled al fresco chicken sausage! Load it on a bed of rice (or put it on skewers!) and you’ve got an easy backyard BBQ meal"
Ingredients
1 package of al fresco Spicy Jalapeno Chicken Sausage
1.5 cups fresh chunks pineapple
1 orange bell pepper, diced into chunks
1 green bell pepper, diced into chunks
1 small red onion, diced into chunk
Salt to taste
Rice to serve it with, cilantro and lime to garnish if desire
Directions:
- 1Dice the veggies into large bite size chunks. Heat up the grill or your grill pan. Add the veggies along with a pinch of salt and cook for 8 - 10 minutes, flipping continually, until they’re charred. About halfway through the 8 minutes, add in the pineapple.
- 2Once they are all cooked through and have those charred grilled marks, remove them from the grill and set aside
- 3To the grill (or grill pan), add the full sausages and cook until they are fully warmed through - about 4 - 5 minutes, flipping halfway.
- 4Serve with seasoned white rice. Garnish the plate with a squeeze of fresh lime and cilantro. Enjoy!
